Osaka Sakishima R&D International Exchange Center

Nishio Rentall, a comprehensive rental company focusing on construction machinery and event materials, has opened a research and development facility in Osaka to carry out technology development and demonstration experiments to advance sharing solutions in preparation for the Osaka/Kansai Expo to be held in 2025. It was built on the island. In the area of Building A-1, which we were in charge of, there is a pedestrian deck connecting the nearest station, Cosmo Square Station, and the Osaka Prefectural Sakishima Government Building, which is open to anyone including nearby residents other than employees. I was in charge of the shared space space and lobby that serves as the facility's reception desk.

Nishio Rent All is actively involved in initiatives related to domestically produced timber, including its wooden modular construction business and a partnership agreement with Kochi Prefecture for a forest creation project (Blue Forest). We expressed these initiatives through concept design, using plenty of wood to create the feeling of visiting the production area. More than 80% of the timber used is harvested, sawn, and processed in Niyodogawa Town, Kochi Prefecture, with the aim of contributing to the revitalization of the forestry industry, carbon offsetting, and the promotion of the construction of a self-sustaining forestry model.

The lobby, which serves as the reception desk for this facility, was an unmanned lobby with only a reception system and no guides. Therefore, we proposed and developed the "Digital Attendant." After welcoming customers on a 32-inch monitor at the entrance, they will be guided to a 75-inch monitor that introduces Nishio Rent-All's four businesses.The first digital attendant to greet them will explain Nishio Rent-All's initiatives. . This created a lobby that also functions as a showroom.

They deeply understood our business, initiatives, and philosophy, and created concept design that showcases them to the fullest.
Thanks to this, we have been able to better promote our company to stakeholders, including local residents, businesses, and our own employees, as well as society as a whole, and we have been able to utilize it as a platform for creating high-quality communication.
