Panasonic Laboratory Tokyo

We have renovated Panasonic Laboratory Tokyo (PLT) to serve as our Tokyo R&D base for practicing new ways of working in the post-COVID-19 environment.
PLT was established in April 2016 in Ariake, Koto-ku, Tokyo, and then moved to its current location in Shiodome Hamarikyu in December 2018. As the "Humantics Research Institute," it has been operated as a "co-creation lab" that conducts collaborative innovation activities such as AI-HUB and Robotics-HUB, which involve collaboration with internal and external partners, centered around engineers who develop advanced technologies that are tailored to people.

In the context of the With/After COVID-19 era, we have re-evaluated the values and functions required of an office, and redesigned it with the PLT members based on the concept of "SHARE," taking into account our positioning as a hub for collaborative innovation with both internal and external partners from the very beginning, rather than limiting the workplace to the office.

"SHARE" means "sharing" various things such as "thoughts and experiences," "information and context," and "colleagues and encounters" among the people who work together at PLT.
PLT is a facility that aims to constantly update itself, with its tenants taking the lead, as it serves as an R&D hub for "questioning, feeling, and sharing" well-being in daily life and work, and as an office that revitalizes co-creation innovation activities.
