overview
Orque d'Or Salon AOYAMA is a members-only salon for the wealthy run by Tokai Tokyo Financial Group. Planned in Aoyama as the third location following Nagoya in 2016 and Nihonbashi, Tokyo in 2019, the facility has been created with the concept of a new "social space that stimulates the curiosity of adults" that connects "wealthy" members with "start-up entrepreneurs". Aiming to create a salon that welcomes more customers with multifaceted and memorable surprises, we have created a one-of-a-kind atmosphere where you can enjoy spatiality, art, sustainability, and craftsmanship.
Issues/requests
In order to connect the "wealthy" with "start-up entrepreneurs," we wanted to create a space that would take advantage of the characteristics of the Aoyama location, while offering new experiences and overwhelming surprises with every visit, something that had never been experienced at Ork D'or Salons before.
solution
By visiting and analyzing affluent salons in New York and Toronto, we created concept design that reflects world-class standards of surprise and hospitality. Beyond spatial concept design, we oversaw the total direction of the facility, including uniforms, menus, and art selection, aiming for a higher-quality experience. With a focus on storytelling and creating a memorable, surprising experience, displays original artwork on the walls, born from dialogue between artists and designers, seamlessly integrated with the space. Furthermore, we transformed locally collected recyclable waste into sustainable art that conveys the passion of its creators.
