Okajima Department Store Relocation Plan

This is a relocation plan due to the deterioration of the Okajima Department Store building. The new location was a commercial facility "KoKori" in the vicinity, and we were in charge of construction management (project management, facility coordination, furniture and fixture manufacturing work), design (architectural design, design administration, equipment design), and construction (architecture/equipment) in this project.

As this was Okajima's first large-scale renovation project, an issue arose where they lacked staff to handle not only construction management and furniture and fixture manufacturing, but also project management and budget management.
In addition, the new facility was a regular commercial facility, and the building itself had not been designed to house a department store, so adjustments had to be made to the design so that the sales floor could function as a department store.

We built a system that can cover a wide range of operations, such as building equipment design, construction construction management, and other operations, and made proposals. In particular, in terms of design, we promoted the design work while making proposals that make use of the experience and know-how we have cultivated in department store-related projects so far, while also examining the feasibility of construction and equipment so that the sales floor space as a department store can be established. As a result, we were able to build a space as a department store.

Since the new facility was not built with the concept of a department store in mind, it must have been very difficult to create the sales floor environment for a department store. We have realized a space with dignity and world view.
