Nissan Motor Technical Center HALL700 Renovation

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has established a new concept design presentation hall that integrates the real and digital worlds within its Global concept design Center in Atsugi City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
This hall is equipped with a curved 24K LED screen, a full-color ceiling screen, remote lighting technology, and a 7.1ch sound system, allowing us to accurately recreate various environments in which customers actually use their cars around the world. By digitizing concept design process, we aim to develop products that meet diverse needs in a more timely manner.
Our company was responsible for the design, structural calculations, interiors construction, and full-color ceiling screens.
The system can reproduce changes in light over time, weather, and natural elements in real time with a high degree of realism and immersion, allowing for the verification and confirmation of digitally created models in various market environments.

The high precision of the design construction required a high degree of alignment between the existing building structure and the complex overlapping types of work.
In terms of production, unprecedented specifications and size accuracy were required in various production and construction, such as placing full-color LED screens on the entire ceiling.

From the outset of the project, we actively adopted BIM, and significantly improved the quality of our work processes by managing the entire process, from point cloud imaging and 3D model creation to integrating models from various companies, interference checks, and on-site adjustments.
Furthermore, we utilized programming to ensure that the placement plan for over 200,000 LEDs proceeded according to schedule.
Regarding the steel frame, metal fittings, lighting, and fabrics, we created mockups of every possible pattern, conducted numerous tests, and simultaneously verified construction procedures that could be reliably implemented. Through these efforts, we were able to improve accuracy and successfully complete the project.
