Nissan Motor Technical Center HALL700 Renovation

A new concept design presentation hall that combines real and digital elements has been opened within Nissan Motor's Global concept design Center in Atsugi City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
The hall is equipped with a curved 24K LED screen, a full-color ceiling screen, remote lighting technology, a 7.1ch sound system, and more, making it possible to reproduce with high precision the various environments in which customers around the world actually use cars. By digitizing concept design process, the aim is to develop products that meet diverse needs in a more timely manner.
Our company was responsible for the design, structural calculations, interiors construction, and the full-color ceiling screen.
Changes in light over time, weather, and natural elements can be reproduced in real time with a high level of realism and immersion, making it possible to verify and check digitally created models to suit a variety of market environments.

The high level of precision required for construction during design required a high degree of coordination of existing building structures and complexly overlapping construction types.
In terms of production, a full-color LED screen was placed on the entire ceiling, and unprecedented specifications and size accuracy were required for various production and construction.

We proactively adopted BIM from the beginning of the project, and achieved significant improvements and quality enhancements in our work processes, from point cloud photography, to creating 3D models, integrating models from all the companies involved, checking for interference, and managing the entire process, right through to on-site adjustments.
We also utilized programming to keep the layout of over 200,000 LED bulbs on schedule.
We created mockups of every possible pattern for the steel frame, metal fittings, lighting, and fabric, and conducted repeated tests. At the same time, we also verified construction procedures that could be carried out reliably, improving precision as we approached the completion of the project.
