overview

``MITSUKOSHI BGC'' is a commercial complex based on the concept of ``NEXT MANILA LIFESTYLE'' that delivers a new lifestyle co-created by Japan and the Philippines, set in the international city of Bonifacio Global City. At our company, we were in charge of the basic concept and concept design of the environmental common area, and we created a structure with rows of open stores that makes shopping fun, and a commercial space with a sense of openness, and traditional Japanese design such as ``Sando'' and ``Tori-niwa.'' By incorporating elements of space creation, we propose comfortable facilities on a human scale.
In the center of the facility, the "Joining Hands" ceiling is a symbolic concept design that expresses the project's desire to become a bridge between the Philippines and Japan, and is an icon of the image of two hands joined together in a Japanese style. We will welcome you.

Issues/requests

Considering that this is the first mixed-use development project in the Philippines involving a Japanese department store and a Japanese developer, and the first commercial facility opened in the country by the Isetan Mitsukoshi Group, we aim to create a facility that will give Filipino customers a sense of ``Japaneseness.'' It was aimed at.
In addition, the process involves not only spatial concept design, but also the hospitality and detailed consideration unique to Japanese-affiliated facilities, and the process of considering and implementing what and how much should be incorporated with a sense of unity with both Japanese and Philippine business operators. We received your request including.

solution

Rather than simply incorporating Japanese elements as they are, the space structure has been reconstructed in a form unique to this facility, such as the spacing and looseness of spaces that create a Japanese-style sense of comfort, and the unique aesthetic sense of volume that Japanese people have. By incorporating design, we have created a unique style for ``MITSUKOSHI BGC.''
In addition, as a collaboration between Philippine and Japanese hospitality, we incorporate into concept design elements that will continue to be loved by the local community for a long time, such as connections with the surrounding environment and the use of local materials. By carefully working together with business operators on a wide range of issues, including planning that takes into account flow lines so that customers can have fun shopping and arranging a complete rest room and children's room, we will become a bridge between Japan and the Philippines. The facility was realized.

Customer's voice

We have received high praise not only from our joint venture partners but also from local customers, as we have carefully examined and considered the local culture and background of the project before making a proposal.
