We were in charge of the design, design, layout and construction of Mazda's manufacturer showroom in the Tokyo metropolitan area, which aims to provide a place for people to experience and interact with the brand.
The "TRANS" in "MAZDA TRANS AOYAMA" means "to change or overcome," and it conveys the message that "we want to be a place that serves as a catalyst for positive change."
The first floor is a special space where you can experience the brand, with a cafe and goods shop supervised by Itsuki Coffee, which was founded in Miyajima, Hiroshima, while the second floor is a cozy space where art displays and events and workshops can be held.
We were asked to increase awareness of Mazda in the greater Tokyo area and to create a space that would be easy for people who had never had contact with Mazda before to enter.
Mazda's concept design essence has been incorporated throughout the bright and open spaces not found in neighboring facilities, including the façade to the entrance, the atrium connecting the first and second floors, and the spacious cafe space.
