overview

LOGI'Q Minamiibaraki, the flagship facility of Tokyu Land Corporation's LOGI'Q brand, will be completed in January 2024 as one of the largest logistics facilities in the Kansai region, and we were responsible for design, layout construction, sign concept design, etc. We designed cafeterias on the first and fourth floors with different concept design themes that characterize the facility. Considering that the first floor area faces the mountainous area, we used plenty of wood and realized a spacious space that takes advantage of the high ceilings, while the fourth floor area is located on the urban and industrial side, so we finished it with a sharp and modern composition using metal and stone. In addition, concept design a large, eye-catching logo outdoors and a lounge located at the main entrance, providing a comfortable experience for customers visiting the facility and creating a space that will encourage communication through art and displays.

Issues/requests

In addition to focusing on sustainability and the environment, the space needed to reflect a sense of playfulness, taking advantage of the fact that the headquarters is located in Shibuya, and it also needed to function as a temporary evacuation site in the event of a disaster. Additionally, the spatial concept design needed to be of a higher quality than rival properties.

solution

In selecting furniture and building materials, we proactively chose products made from recycled materials. Furthermore, with themes of sustainability and the natural environment, we commissioned artists from Japan and abroad to create works, and through the process and ideas of art production, such as a symbolic object made from recycled materials with the logo as a motif, we expressed Tokyu Real Estate's group message "WE ARE GREEN". In addition, with the premise that it will function as an evacuation shelter in the event of a disaster, we ensured a large space by introducing furniture that is easy to move, such as stackable chairs and tables with casters.
