Lawson Takanawa Gateway City Store
overview
This is the project for the first "Real x Tech LAWSON" store, which utilizes AI and DX technologies and opened within KDDI's new Head Office.
In addition to creating the basic concept design for the new store, our Content Integration Center (CIC) utilized its high level of expertise in utilizing technology to propose and produce a variety of ideas for utilizing AI and DX technologies.
Additionally, the store is designed with sustainability in mind, with discarded uniforms worn by Lawson store staff used as flooring and discarded clothing used as panels.
The signage installed in the store is linked to the data infrastructure "Urban OS" that collects, analyzes, and connects and utilizes various city data, and displays information on weather, train delays, city congestion, events, etc. Other features include a "cleaning robot" that moves around the store, "signage" that uses AI cameras to display recommended products based on customers' behavior in front of the shelves (such as reaching out), and the "Ponta General Consultation Center" that helps solve problems in everyday life, making this store a place where convenience stores can function as part of the city's infrastructure.
