overview

Yamato Group History Museum Kuroneko Yamato Museum is a facility established to commemorate the Yamato Group's 100th anniversary.
Centered on the Yamato Group's 100-year history and future initiatives, this museum is centered around a collection and delivery center, a history museum, a research institute for exploring the future of logistics, a training center for human resource development, and support for the social independence of people with disabilities. It was established in the Yamato Konan Building, which was built as a next-generation base for the group by consolidating multiple functions such as a cafe that

Another spiral displays space created above and below the spiral roadway around the perimeter of the building on which transport trucks run is superimposed on the "road" that the Yamato Group has walked, allowing visitors to descend and experience the 100-year history of the museum. A museum with a spatial structure unique to a logistics company, tracing the changes in the world. From its founding to the present, it consists of four eras, and while feeling the changes of the times, such as the historical stage of the townscape, the sales offices at that time, and the state of society and consumers, we have worked hard to develop services that are "visually displays". We aimed to create displays that fuses space and experience, allowing visitors to relive the 100 years of growth of the Yamato Group by touching on the thoughts of the managers and employees that are embedded in it.

Issues/requests

We believe that corporate museums in the future will be required not only to transmit information from the company's perspective, but also from the perspective of what to offer through museum experiences and how to connect with society.
In this project as well, through the Yamato Group's 100-year history, we should not only focus on communication with stakeholders, but consider what we can do to create a place for mutual interaction between companies and society. was a big issue.

solution

As we talk about the history of the Yamato Group, which "has grown along with the changes in the lives of our customers and the world," we will look at how the services that everyone knows were born and how they changed people's lives against the backdrop of changes in the times and lifestyles. Through the experience of reliving the process along with the history of the group and thinking together about the richness of the next era, visitors will also be able to look back on the path they have taken and create an opportunity to create a rich life in the future. We aimed to create a place where
