This is the Panasonic booth at IFA 2022, the world's largest consumer electronics show, which was held in person in Berlin for the first time in three years due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection.
In considering concept design of a post-COVID-19 displays, we took into account the changes in lifestyles and values caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as Panasonic's major policy of GREEN IMPACT, and concept design the space with a focus on light and fabric, while also concept design and construction to minimize waste as much as possible. As a result, we were able to reduce the carbon footprint by 70% compared to fiscal 2019, and the significant reduction in CO2 emissions from materials such as wood and steel, as well as logistics, was particularly evident, which we believe will be a turning point in terms of what events and displays should be like in a post-COVID-19 society.
[Social issues/customer issues/requests]
The request was to give concrete form to Panasonic's new slogan, GREEN IMPACT.
[Solution]
By rethinking spatial concept design and exploring the ideal displays for the future, rather than something flashy, we were able to create a booth that linked with Panasonic's new slogan.
