Hotel Okura Kyoto Okazaki Bettei

Hotel Okura Kyoto Okazaki Bettei, the first Hotel Okura brand hotel in Japan in approximately 20 years, opened on January 20, 2022.
Our spatial concept design team, RENS, was in charge of the overall direction of the interior and was responsible for interiors construction and FF&E construction.

Kyoto is home to many world-class traditional crafts, created by artisans using techniques handed down since ancient times. We have created a hotel that connects these traditional crafts to the future, allowing you to sense their further potential.
In collaboration with GO ON, a project unit made up of six successors of Kyoto's traditional crafts, we are creating a small, luxurious space filled with new crafts.

You can enjoy a soothing stay in the beauty of modern Kyoto at a hotel where you can feel a tranquil moment reminiscent of an adult retreat.

3) A plan that makes use of the natural environment around Higashiyama and Okazaki Betsuin
We received a request for the following.

① A plan to place traditional Kyoto crafts in various locations in collaboration with "GO ON"
②Kitayama cedar is used as a floor pillar in the guest rooms.
3) Plans for a restaurant with a view of the garden connected to Okazaki Betsuin Temple

They have created a one-of-a-kind hotel that is worthy of Kyoto in the new era, where the aesthetic sense of Kyoto culture can be felt everywhere.
