[Project description]
"Heijo Palace Izanaikan" is a guidance facility built in the Suzakumon Hiroba maintained in the National Heijo Palace Historic Park. We will convey the significance and splendor of the Heijo Palace Site Historical Park, a “special place” where you can still feel the Nara period, and invite you to parks, temples and shrines that retain the vestiges of the past.
[Customer issues/requests]
In order to invite visitors to the Heijo Palace Ruins, we aimed to create a “guidance displays that heightens interest in the Heijo Palace Ruins and leads to impressions on site.”
【solution】
We aimed to invite visitors to the field by spatializing and experiencing the “specialty of the Heijo Palace Ruins” that is difficult to see locally.
The zone consists of three parts. "Now of the Heijo Palace Ruins," which guides you through the current park, "Heijo Palace", where you can learn about and experience the life of the Heijo Palace in the past, and "Beyond Time," where you can decipher the ancient Heijo Palace and Kyoto from relics.
By changing the perspective for each zone and impressing the specialness through the five senses, the displays was designed to lead to the impression of the site.
