overview
An office integration project for five advertising media companies of GREE. The concept of this project is to create opportunities for interchange. This concept was born from the idea of "providing a place to create opportunities that create chance encounters and communication".
The entrance space, which is the face of the five companies, is set to change the lighting color according to the time and scene through glass bricks, making it a space where you can feel change and movement.
When used for events, it is envisioned to create a party scene in which the light has a rhythm to match the sound.
Within the office, we have created a space called "Breakthrough Base," which serves as a catalyst for interaction among the five companies. "Breakthrough" signifies that it is "not just a relaxation space, but a place to break through the current situation and pave the way for the future," while "Base" embodies the meaning of "not just a place, but a base that gives a sense of strength and the anticipation of something to come."
The flooring, laid out in a way that anticipates traffic flow, is designed to resemble an "interchange"—a place where roads intersect—and serves as a natural space for interaction among the five companies. Areas that are frequently touched have been given an aged finish, creating a sense of openness as if a sea breeze were blowing, even though the ocean is not visible in Shinjuku. The selection of plain materials and chairs of various concept design have resulted in a relaxed space with a warm, unpretentious feel.
Furthermore, with the idea of a fresh start, we created a minimalist space without over-designing it. While creating a sophisticated and stylish space, we also incorporated photogenic spots throughout the space, befitting a company that handles social media projects.
I designed a space that is stylish yet evokes a sense of anticipation, suggesting that something new might be born there.
