overview
We have completed renovation work on the permanent displays room of the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum.
We were in charge of displays renovation work for the permanent displays hall's "History of Life" section, the removal of the wall around the Tyrannosaurus robot, and the complete renovation of the Dyno Lab.
Additionally, the Tyrannosaurus monument, originally created for domestic promotion of the movie "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom," was remodeled for permanent outdoor installation and installed.
Issues/requests
・This renewal includes the addition of a newly exhibited large-scale skeletal specimen, including the real mummified Brachylophosaurus fossil that will be shown for the first time in Japan. As the real mummified fossil is a long-term loan from an American museum, it will be carefully handled during transport and removal. Careful case design
・Progress on the Hokuriku Shinkansen extension project and the short construction period to be completed in time for the busy summer vacation season.
There were more requests.
solution
The actual mummified fossil was transported in close consultation with the museum, the lessor, and the transportation company, and the case was designed with safety in mind. Furthermore, by using five-sided glass with low-reflection film, a case was created that minimizes reflections and provides excellent visibility even in dark displays spaces.
The project was completed thanks to the speedy response capabilities achieved through collaboration between our in-house designers, production staff, and sales representatives, as well as the trusting relationship that has continued between our maintenance staff and museum researchers since the museum's opening.
