Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum Renewal

Renovation work was carried out on the permanent displays room of the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum.
I was in charge of the history of life corner in the permanent displays room, the displays renovation work that involved removing the wall around the Tyranno robot, and the complete renovation of the Dino Lab.
Additionally, the Tyrannosaurus Monument, which was created to promote the movie ``Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom'' in Japan, was rebuilt and installed as a permanent outdoor installation.

・This renewal includes the addition of a newly exhibited large-scale skeletal specimen, including the real mummified Brachylophosaurus fossil that will be shown for the first time in Japan.As the real mummified fossil is a long-term loan from an American museum, it will be carefully handled during transport and removal. ・Progress on the Hokuriku Shinkansen extension project and the short construction period to be completed in time for the busy summer vacation season.

There were more requests.

For the actual mummy fossil, we worked closely with the museum, the lessor, and the transportation company to determine the conditions for transporting it in and out, and designed the case with safety in mind. In addition, by using five-sided glass with low-reflection film, we created a case that has good visibility with little reflection even in dark displays spaces.
We were able to complete the project thanks to our ability to respond quickly through collaboration among our in-house designers, production staff, and sales staff, as well as the trusting relationship between maintenance staff and museum researchers that has continued since the museum opened.
