overview

The signature pavilion for the 2025 World Exposition in Japan (Osaka-Kansai Expo), "EARTH MART," was produced by Kundo Koyama.
With the theme of "Thinking about life through food," the event will be a place to share the potential of the food culture that the Japanese have cultivated and the evolution of food through technology, and to think together about "new ways of eating" that will lead us into the future.

The supermarket normally stocks food, but instead displays "life" and is designed to help visitors gain new insights by experiencing the background behind it.
Finding value in everyday scenery can give us an opportunity to think about the choices we make in various daily situations. In addition, we created the space using living materials such as "vegetable flowers" and "recycled eggs made from eggshells," and we constructed the content itself together with various people involved in food (farmers, sushi chefs, biotechnology researchers), creating an "integrated worldview" in which a story unfolds within the space, thereby successfully conveying our message.

By resetting various things we take for granted through these "fragments of life," we can become aware of what is truly important in life, which can lead to gratitude and kindness, and a subtle happiness. It will make you cherish mealtimes just a little more than yesterday...
This film embodies Producer Koyama's desire to leave such an aftertaste.
