6th China International Import Expo 2023 Panasonic Booth

This is a project for the Panasonic Booth at the 6th China International Import Expo 2023. The Import Expo is the largest displays organized by the Chinese government with the aim of promoting the reform and opening up of the Chinese market to the world. This will be the 6th time the expo has been held, and Panasonic has exhibited every year since the first year. The exhibition area is the largest at approximately 1,000 m2, making it the most important displays for Panasonic to strengthen relationships and expand business between B2G and B2B.
We were in charge of the overall design, layout construction the booth.

Because the Panasonic Group's solutions are so diverse, the concept design challenge was how to present the entire booth in a unified, concise and easy-to-understand manner, and how to make the booth an eye-catcher.

The two major themes for 2023 will be the Group's global common theme of "Environment" and "Living Spaces," a key business in China.
The former is based on organic design motifs using curves and louvers that evoke environmental elements such as wind, water, and sky to embody the environmental vision "Panasonic GREEN IMPACT" (Chinese: "绿智造创素晴らしい新期"), and the graphics and designs are composed based on these motifs. The booth was designed to be open and have environmental images evoked throughout. At the front of the booth, a concept design model was installed that allows visitors to see a bird's-eye view of the company's wide range of business areas, and a flow line was designed to lead from there to the specific displays. Experiential exhibits such as a welding robot arm that is essential for the EV manufacturing process, a smart cockpit that creates a comfortable interior space, and a multi-purpose automated EV were placed on the outside of the booth as eye-catching displays.
The latter "living space" was placed at the rear of the booth as a closed-space displays, and was concept design to evoke the image of a two-story house even from the outside. The interior space was designed to be as close to the real thing as possible in terms of scale and materials, allowing visitors to experience a realistic living space with a sense of presence.

The experiential cockpit car and welding robot were the highlights of displays, contributing to attracting visitors as symbols of the booth and were also used in many media coverage.
・By securing space for the MOU signing ceremony in front of our booth, the ceremony proceeded smoothly and attracted a lot of attention, which we would like to utilize next time.
-It was also great that displays, such as the city diorama, cockpit car, and hydrogen model, could be put to secondary use.
