6th China International Import Expo 2023 Panasonic Booth

This is a project for the Panasonic booth at the 6th China International Import Expo 2023. The Import Expo is the largest displays hosted by the Chinese government with the aim of showcasing China's reform and opening up to the world. This will be the 6th edition, and Panasonic has exhibited every year since the first year. The booth area is the largest at approximately 1000 square meters, making it the most important displays for Panasonic to strengthen B2G and B2B relationships and expand its business.
Our company was responsible for the overall design, layout, and construction of the booth.

Because the Panasonic Group's solutions are so diverse, concept design challenges were how to express them clearly and concisely with a sense of unity throughout the entire booth, and how to create an eye-catching element for the booth.

In 2023, the two main themes are "Environment," which is the group's global common theme, and "Living Spaces," which is a key business in China.
The former embodies Panasonic's environmental vision, "Panasonic GREEN IMPACT" (Chinese: "绿智造创未来" - meaning "Creating a New Future with Wisdom"). Its graphics and design are based on organic concept design motifs using curves and louvers that evoke images of environmental elements such as "wind," "water," and "sky." The design is open and designed to convey an environmental image throughout. A city model is placed at the front of the booth, providing an overview of the wide range of business areas, and a flow of visitors is designed to lead from there to the specific displays. Experiential exhibits, such as a welding robot arm essential for the EV manufacturing process, a smart cockpit that realizes a comfortable interior space, and a multi-purpose autonomous EV, are placed on the outside of the booth as eye-catching displays.
Furthermore, the latter, the "living space," was placed at the back of the booth as a closed-space displays, and concept design was carefully crafted so that the exterior would evoke the image of a two-story house. The interior space was designed to closely resemble a real house in terms of scale and materials, creating an immersive and realistic living space experience.

The interactive cockpit cars and welding robots were the highlights of displays, serving as symbols of the booth and contributing to attracting visitors. They were also frequently used in media coverage.
- By securing a space for the MOU signing ceremony at the front of the booth, we were able to ensure a smooth ceremony and attract attention, which is something we would like to utilize next time.
It was also great that we were able to reuse displays, such as the city diorama, cockpit car, and hydrogen model.
