This is the first drive-thru project in Asia, called"% ARABICA," located in a natural park in the center of Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK), an artificial island in the rapidly developing city of Jakarta, Indonesia.
The structure is such that two different buildings intersect, one of which has a rounded glass façade and a minimalist structure, creating an open space that pursues a sense of spaciousness and visual breadth, while allowing the bustling interior to be felt from the outside. In contrast, the other building is a closed space with a massive structure that provides privacy and facilities, clearly organizing the roles of each building.
The layout of the roasting room, coffee counter, and customer seating radiates outward from the center of the circle, allowing the baristas to have a view of the entire store while still focusing on roasting and serving. At the same time, the line of sight of the guests is naturally directed towards the scenery outside, ensuring that their gazes do not meet, providing a special experience of enjoying coffee while looking out at the lush natural park with a 360-degree panoramic view.
