AO Gallery

AGC built a new research and development building in the AGC Yokohama Technical Center (Tsurumi Ward, Yokohama City) with a total construction cost of approximately 20 billion yen. A co-creation space “AO (AGC OPEN SQUARE)” was set up in the same research building to accelerate co-creation inside and outside the company, and opened on November 19, 2020.

The centerpiece of the open area, the collaborative space "AO," is based on the concepts of "connecting," "imagining," and "experimenting." It consists of four spaces: "AO Gallery," a collaborative displays with external partners that utilizes AGC's materials and technologies; "AO Park," where users can engage in dialogue based on products, values, and the latest topics created from user needs and AGC's seeds; "AO Studio," displays area where visitors can experience AGC's cutting-edge materials and technologies; and "AO Lab.," a collaborative laboratory where samples are evaluated and prototypes are created together with external partners. Our company was in charge of planning, concept design, and construction the collaborative displays in one of these spaces, AO Gallery.

We received a request to create a gallery where visitors could experience the new appeal of AGC through collaborative displays with external partners that utilize AGC's materials and technologies.

By combining AGC's state-of-the-art technology and hardware with our creativity, we have provided a space where new glass for the near future can be created through collaborative creation.
