AO Gallery

AGC built a new research and development building in the AGC Yokohama Technical Center (Tsurumi Ward, Yokohama City) with a total construction cost of approximately 20 billion yen. A co-creation space “AO (AGC OPEN SQUARE)” was set up in the same research building to accelerate co-creation inside and outside the company, and opened on November 19, 2020.

The centerpiece of the open area co-creation space "AO" has areas based on the concept of "connecting", "inventing", and "trying", and displays co-creation with external partners that make use of AGC's materials and technologies. "AO Gallery", "AO Park" where you can interact with users' needs and products created from AGC's seeds, value, and the latest topics, "AO Studio", an displays area where you can touch AGC's cutting-edge materials and technologies, It consisted of four spaces of "AO Lab.", a collaborative creation laboratory where samples are evaluated with external partners and prototypes are created. Our company was in charge of the planning, concept design and construction of the co-creation displays at AO Gallery, one of them.

We received a request to create a gallery where visitors can experience the new appeal of AGC through collaborative displays with external partners that make use of AGC's materials and technologies.

By combining AGC's state-of-the-art technology and hardware with our creativity, we have provided a space where new glass for the near future can be created through collaborative creation.
