NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Group (NOMURA Co.,Ltd., Ltd. and Nomura Arcs) collaborated to support the opening of "Happy Lawson Town Ikeda Fushiodai Store," a community development project centered around a store. They handled everything from research and planning to basic concept, as well as design including architecture and landscape, and construction, in a one-stop service.

Lawson Corporation (Head Office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; hereafter "Lawson") and KDDI Corporation (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; hereafter "KDDI") will launch the first store of the town revitalization initiative "Happy Lawson Town," a town creation initiative where people across generations can live safely and happily on June 4, 2026. Location: Ikeda City, Osaka Prefecture; hereinafter referred to as "our store") has opened.

NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter "NOMURA Co.,Ltd."), a comprehensive production company for spaces, and NOMURA ARCHS Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, hereafter "Nomura Arcs"), which provides comprehensive architectural services, have brought together the comprehensive strengths of the NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Group to conduct research, planning, and From the basic concept, I was responsible for everything from the basic concept, including architecture and landscape design, to construction and logo signage.

This store aims to become a hub for the local area, drawing on the history, challenges, and appeal of the location. We kept the volume low relative to the Hokusettsu mountain range in the background, and integrated architecture and landscape so that the architecture becomes part of the landscape.
Using the wood truss method, we create a column-free space and realize a uniquely curved roof that determines the impression of both the exterior and interior spaces. By increasing the flexibility of interior spaces and utilizing natural light and wood textures through interior and exterior design plans, we support the open "hub of the local community" with solid creativity and technical expertise.

Additionally, new logo signs for 'Happy Lawson Town' and 'Fushio Terrace' were created. To ensure the view, we are working to revitalize the community by making "benches" and "wooden toys" together with local residents through workshops.

About the store 

In addition to Lawson's regular convenience store products, this store will sell bakery items, prepared foods, fresh produce (mainly vegetables), frozen meat, and frozen fish directly from Hankyu Delica Co., Ltd.'s factory. It will also feature a spacious eat-in area with raised seating and an outdoor plaza, providing a place for local residents to do their daily shopping as well as a community space.

In addition, we will be setting up an online consultation service called "Ponta Yorozu Consultation Center," where expert staff in various fields will be available to answer questions about a wide range of issues related to government services, home appliance support, and daily life. We will also be introducing "Ikeda City AI Supporter" for the first time, an AI concierge that will provide information on administrative matters and local information in Ikeda City.

Furthermore, by permanently installing AI drones, disaster prevention signage, and Starlink, it will also function as a "Disaster Relief Lawson" store, serving as a base for supporting local residents.
This Lawson store will be the first to permanently install an AI drone, which will monitor the neighborhood through scheduled remote flights.
The disaster prevention signage will broadcast safety announcements from Ikeda City, contributing to the peace of mind of local residents in both normal times and emergencies.

Over-the-counter (OTC) medicines, fresh produce such as vegetables, frozen meat, frozen fish, bakery and prepared foods directly from Hankyu Delica's factory, pet food from Hankyu Hello Dog, soft serve ice cream, etc.

These stores are equipped with special functions to support disaster victims during emergencies, including securing electricity, communication and information gathering means, providing drinking water in case of water outages, and offering emergency toilets. The goal is to establish 100 such stores nationwide by fiscal year 2030.
