The shared area on the 7th floor of Namba Parks Parks Tower has been renovated and reopened as "PARKS PATIO," an employee-only lounge and meeting room. NOMURA Co.,Ltd. was in charge of design, layout, construction, art production, and planning of events for office workers.

The common area on the 7th floor of "Parks Tower," an office building located within Namba Parks, a landmark in Namba, was renovated and reopened on April 1, 2026 (Wednesday) as "PARKS PATIO," an employee-only lounge and meeting room.

Designed to complement the lush Parks Garden, a symbol of Namba Parks, this space is envisioned as a "special backyard for working people." As a place that employees can use on a daily basis, it provides an environment that accommodates diverse ways of spending time, not only for meetings and work, but also for breaks and refreshing oneself. Through a production process in which office workers participate, art using plants from the garden, and sound design incorporating ambient sounds from along the railway line, the aim is to enhance the value of the entire office building and improve the comfort of office workers by incorporating a space for mental and physical rejuvenation within the convenience of the city.

NOMURA Co.,Ltd. was in charge of design, layout, construction, art production, and planning of events for office workers. The design incorporates the organic landscape and the fluctuating light and greenery of Namba Parks into the interior, while sound and artwork are planned to add gentle changes to the space, creating a variety of places to choose from depending on your mood and purpose.

Left: LOUNGE 1
A lounge space reminiscent of a backyard, incorporating pleasant light and greenery. It's a versatile space suitable for various occasions, such as lunch or small group meetings.

Right: LOUNGE➁
A gently partitioned solo workspace. This area can be used when you want to concentrate on your work or when you want to enjoy a leisurely lunch alone.

We offer a variety of meeting rooms of different sizes and features, suitable for a wide range of occasions, from casual meetings to conferences of around 30 people.

right: BUSINESS LOUNGE & RELAX ROOM
You can spend a peaceful time in our comfortable waiting area surrounded by works of art, and in our relaxation-focused space designed to reset your mind and body.


■Features of the renewal

●Spatial design using sound
Aiming to create a space where people can feel connected to nature even while in the city, we collaborated with artists Masahiko Takeda and kafuka. We recorded ambient sounds in the area around Namba Station, which is familiar to office workers, and in the Koyasan area, which is representative of the Nankai Railway line, to create a space where visitors can unconsciously calm their minds.

● Spatial design and artwork that connects with the city of Namba
As an office building adjacent to Namba Parks, a representative commercial complex in Namba, the lounge incorporates organic, curved concept design inspired by the complex's iconic "Grand Canyon." Furthermore, the space features art pieces by Atsushi Ozawa utilizing recycled materials provided by tenants in surrounding facilities, art pieces by bulbus SYO TANii using plants from the Parks Garden, and signage manufactured by Daikan Co., Ltd., a tenant company. The aim is to create a space where the connection to the commercial area and Parks Garden can be felt visually.

● A co-creation process built throughout the entire office building
In addition to the annual worker survey, we have developed this area based on feedback from office workers received on a daily basis. The lounge concept design was decided by a vote of office workers, and workshop events were held for sound production. We planned and developed the space while emphasizing the process of creating the space together with the building's tenants.
