[Our exhibit]
NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Installation "CREDIT - Fragments of Effort -"
In our previous two exhibitions, we have explored questions and concept design approaches toward a sustainable society. This time, "CREDIT - Fragments of Effort -" is an experimental initiative that aims to create an opportunity to slightly change the "criteria for selection" and "perspective" by touching upon the stories behind the finished products.
As we work on creating spaces, we hypothesized that by paying attention to the time, technology, and thoughts of the creators behind the spaces and products we come into contact with on a daily basis, we might develop a deeper attachment to the objects and spaces.
For example, through the fragments that come from factories and work sites, such as fragments of prototypes, failed products, and tools that have been used for many years,
You can sense the countless trials and errors, judgments, and ingenuity that went into the finished product. By learning about the creator and the feelings that went into the item, your understanding and appreciation for it will grow even greater.
This project is comprised of seven in-house designers and production managers, primarily young professionals working in different fields. They visited factories across Japan, engaging in dialogue with craftsmen. The exhibition showcases prototypes, well-used tools, and other fragments displays with memories of trial and error and ingenuity. We hope visitors will feel the unique message of NOMURA Co.,Ltd., a company dedicated to creating spaces, at the venue.

interiors construction A spatial experiment project in which the company GRANDIR collaborates with designers, artists, and craftsmen in space, lighting, and graphics to reconstruct the traditional culture of the tea room and re-examine the "Japanese" in the present day. Our designers are also participating in this project. The tea room is an experimental space that reinterprets the materials and structure of the space, inheriting the fact that it was originally a "spiritual device" that reexamines time, space, and relationships. The material was created by hand by craftsmen using LGS (lightweight steel frame) used in interiors construction.
