"Gamagori Classic Hotel THE COVE" Grand Opening on June 1st (Sun) | NOMURA Co.,Ltd. was in charge of planning, design, layout, interiors construction, FF&E, logo, amenity concept design, and creative production.

A traditional Japanese restaurant, registered as a Tangible Cultural Property, has been renovated into a rental accommodation facility.

The "Ryotei Takeshima" restaurant, built in 1916 (Taisho 5) and located on the grounds of the Gamagori Classic Hotel, has been renovated and will grand open on June 1st, 2025 (Sunday) as "THE COVE," a lodging facility available for exclusive rental. The building, which was registered as a National Registered Tangible Cultural Property in 2022 (Reiwa 4), has been renovated. By preserving the original charm of the building and the view of Mikawa Bay, and adding new value to it, the aim is to create a pleasant sense of incongruity and lead to a special experience.

NOMURA Co.,Ltd. was responsible for planning, design, layout, interiors construction, FF&E, logo design, amenity concept design, and a wide range of creative production.
 

LIVING ROOM
The bedroom has a backdrop of artwork made from washi paper that is inspired by Mikawa Bay, the living space overlooks the changing seasons and Mikawa Bay, and the former main guest room features a stately alcove. Please enjoy the leisurely flow of time while cherishing the old charm.

You can feel the passage of time amidst a magnificent view of Mikawa Bay and Takeshima, which can be seen up close.

Right: POWDER ROOM
There is a powder room, a bathroom, and an outdoor terrace where you can relax and enjoy views of Mikawa Bay, where Takeshima is located, and the gardens that change with the seasons.

You can feel relaxed and refreshed in the simple, dimly lit space with a grey base and indirect lighting.

Right: CONCEPT ROOM
The garden in the center of THE COVE where traffic lines intersect. You can enjoy the original scent as you cross the time-disparity.
 

Logo, amenity concept design
In addition to the logo, which is modeled after the inland sea of Gamagori, embraced by two peninsulas, and Mikawa Bay as seen from THE COVE, I also concept design various amenities.
