NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Ltd. will be exhibiting its sound systems "noon by material record" and "SCRAPTURE" at "TOKYO GX ACTION CHANGING ~Decarbonization Action to Change the Future~," an experiential event where you can get a firsthand feel for cutting-edge GX (Green Transformation), to displays at Tokyo Big Sight on Saturday, May 17th and Sunday, May 18th, 2025. This event aims to provide an opportunity to experience GX (Green Transformation) in order to achieve carbon halving by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2050.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is working towards achieving carbon halving by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2050, shifting away from fossil fuels towards clean energy.
We are accelerating our efforts toward GX (Green Transformation), which will transform Tokyo into an energy-centered society. Aiming for every Tokyo resident to understand GX and change their behavior, we have launched "TOKYO GX ACTION," which will widely disseminate the latest GX technologies throughout the year. NOMURA Co.,Ltd. also supports this activity and is cooperating with "TOKYO GX ACTION" as a partner company.

Our exhibit details

■ Audio equipment "noon by material record"
Our R&D project "material record," themed around "materials = Earth's resources," conducts various sustainable research and development projects starting from materials in the construction and interiors industries, which consume vast amounts of resources. Our first product, "noon by material record (hereinafter, noon)," is an experiential art piece that challenges the creation of new values for materials through an acoustic experience by using sustainable materials such as construction waste, plastic fragments washed ashore on beaches, denim scraps, and fuel tanks that have finished their role in rocket development to create speakers. Currently, we are working with various partners to focus on sustainable materials and engage in activities that connect "sound" and "materials."

■ SCRAPTURE(SCRAP MATERIAL UPCYCLE PROJECT)
This product is a practical and sustainable message art piece that appeals to emotions and memories by making interiors waste, which is usually hidden from view, feel more familiar. Unlike traditional scrap-and-build message-making, it upcycles the waste into new interiors materials for the next generation, circulating as a medium that expands the circle of co-creation. It will be displays in offices, international conferences, and art events, aiming to provide an opportunity for many people to think about a better future. Winners include the Gold Award at the "Sky Design Awards 2023" (Multimedia & Visual included Exhibition category), the Gold Award and the Yui Tezuka Award at the "57th Japan Sign concept design Awards," and others.
