We are conducting R&D activities to realize our sustainability policy of "creating spaces that are easy for everyone to use." As part of this activity, we are working on the "Sensory Friendly Project," in partnership with researchers, people with disabilities, and experts, to create spaces where everyone can feel safe and comfortable, for people who have difficulty going out for various reasons and have given up on experiences outside. In this article, we will talk about some examples that include the real experiences and perspectives of the people in charge.
Talk session
Date: Friday, March 7th, 15:00-15:30
Title: Using my own experiences and thoughts to create spaces - A challenge to create spaces and systems where people can go out with peace of mind

Speaker: Sensory-Friendly Project
Project Manager: Reiko Ibe
Project Manager: Yuki Horiike
Designer: Sayaka Horikoshi
concept design Director: Mari Matsumoto
Presentation Content: What we perceive as "ease of going out" and "a comfortable space" varies greatly from person to person. People with disabilities, those with children, the elderly and their caregivers, for example, each face their own anxieties and difficulties. Through creating spaces, we are challenging ourselves to create systems and inclusive initiatives that allow diverse people to live with peace of mind. In this talk session, we will share real-world experiences and perspectives on how we are confronting these challenges and putting our own experiences and thoughts into practice while creating spaces.
