NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Ltd. was in charge of the overall spatial production for the "KOCHIKAME Museum," which opened on Saturday, March 22nd in Kameari, Katsushika Ward. This facility was established by Katsushika Ward to promote the revitalization of the shopping district and the local area in the Kameari area, which is the setting of the manga, and aims to be a "hub for tourism and community development" based on the manga "Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Koen-mae Hashutsujo" (hereinafter referred to as "Kochikame"). The manga, which features Ryotsu Kankichi, who works at the police station, as the main character, was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) for 40 years.

Our company was comprehensively responsible for everything from formulating the facility concept to planning, designing, and construction displays and content within the facility, as well as planning, designing, and construction new photo spots as part of a promotional strategy for the area around Kameari Station, and planning promotional measures for the facility's opening. We contributed to the realization of this facility by utilizing IP content and leveraging our expertise in public facilities and regional revitalization.

The aim is to motivate people to explore the town by experiencing the world of "Kochikame," and to encourage visitors to the Kameari area, making it a tourist facility open to the community.

The facility's concept is "The protagonist builds his own memorial hall on top of the police station where he works, and then escapes to the town of Kameari."
Visitors can experience the charm of the Kochikame series and the Kameari area through displays within the facility, and then explore the real-life Kochikame world in the streets of Kameari, all while following the trail of the fleeing protagonist in a consistent, immersive story.

■Facilities | Immersive experience in a 3D manga space
The building resembles a stack of manga panels, interiors is filled with iconic scenes, and the information displays about Kameari create an atmosphere that makes you feel as if the main characters are real, expressing the world of the story.

■Town | Discovering the new charms of the Kameari area
New photo spots and signs have been set up throughout the town where people can step into manga panels and take pictures with the main characters. These will also be linked with existing statues and concept design manhole covers to promote community exploration.

Katsushika Ward plans to update displays, local information, and merchandise even after the opening. We aim to create a facility that will be cherished by local residents, tourists, international visitors, and future generations alike, and that will grow together with the community.
