Announcement of “The Beginning of the Future”, an event one year before the opening of the Osaka/Kansai Expo

There is just over a year left until the 2025 Japan International Expo (abbreviated as ``Osaka-Kansai Expo''), which will open in Maishima, Osaka on April 13, 2025.

NOMURA Co.,Ltd., Ltd. has been involved in every international exposition held in Japan since the 1970 Osaka World Expo (Japan World Exposition). Working together with exhibiting countries and companies, we have explored and developed pavilion spaces and displays, contributing to solving social issues and communicating new values for the future.
In the process, we have collected over 20,000 items of material related to international expositions within our company through various circumstances. We believe that our deep knowledge and vast experience in international expositions are a key potential of NOMURA Co.,Ltd.
 

With the support of Osaka Prefecture, Osaka City, Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition, and Asahi Broadcasting Group Holdings Corporation, we will be holding an event in preparation for the Osaka-Kansai Expo, called "The Beginning of the Future," at Art Beat Cafe NAKANOSHIMA.

In this event, we will look back at the things and things of a new future society that were presented at the 1970 Osaka Expo, and we will encourage not only those who have experienced the Expo but also the generation who have not experienced it. We hope that this will lead to increased interest and understanding.

We will be releasing some of the many Expo materials we have in storage, and Asahi Broadcasting Corporation will also be releasing nostalgic footage of the Expo site in 1970.

The cafe will be open as usual during this period, so please come and visit us during your lunch break or when you are taking a break between meetings.
