"Marunouchi Street Park" has been held since 2019 as a social experiment to examine the ideal form of plazas and park-like spaces in the city center, and this is the 9th time. At “Marunouchi Street Park 2023 Winter,” which is being held with the concept of “Bright Street,” we will be holding a tour called “Bright “Taiwa” Tour” where you can enjoy illuminations with visually impaired people. This is the second time the event has been held since 2021, and this is a tour where visually impaired and visually impaired people are asked to wear eye masks and enjoy the illuminations together through dialogue under the guidance of volunteer guides. is.
We will create opportunities for exchange and deepening mutual understanding. This will be carried out as part of our efforts to create a diverse and inclusive city.

Implementation content
Divided into 3 groups, 1 visually impaired person and 3 visually impaired people, each group will be guided by 4 guides and leaders from Tokyo Station Marunouchi South Exit to Marunouchi Street Park Block 3. The tour will cover a total distance of 2 km and will take approximately 1.5 hours while enjoying conversation. Through dialogue, you will expand your imagination and experience creating bright memories that will remain in your heart.

``Marunouchi Street Park'', which started in 2019 and is now in its 9th year, transforms public spaces such as roads into high-quality spaces that are easy for area workers and visitors to ``stay in'' and ``go around.'' By doing so, we are creating liveliness in the Daimaru-yu (Otemachi, Marunouchi, Yurakucho) area. In addition, as inbound tourists are showing signs of recovery after the coronavirus pandemic, we aim to create new scenery and experience value at iconic locations in Japan, and improve the visibility and international competitiveness of the street that stretches in front of Tokyo Station. "Marunouchi Street Park 2023 Winter" is based on the concept of "Bright Street," and we will deliver unforgettable winter scenes for many people, with the aim of establishing it as a winter feature in the Marunouchi area just like last year. In addition to Marunouchi Naka-dori, the implementation of Gyukiyuki-dori, which connects Tokyo Station and the Imperial Palace, is one of the few examples of integrated use of public space, contributing to ``walkable urban development'' in places that are symbolic of Japan and Tokyo. This is an initiative in collaboration with Park Street Tokyo*1.

(*1) In order to promote urban development that focuses on people rather than cars, an initiative that promotes the creation of a city where people can enjoy walking by utilizing road spaces, etc. Starting in 2020, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government will collaborate with regional organizations and local cities to develop the project in an integrated manner.
