R&D of NOMURA.: Reading data from users' smiles, analyzing data, and utilizing it for spatial concept design, operation and production
Announcement of space DX service that supports well-being space and activation by emotional estimation

NOMURA Co., Ltd. aims to create sustainable well-being spaces in offices and public/commercial facilities where consumers can live a healthy and happy life both mentally and physically. This time, "emograf (Emograph)" planned and developed in-house*”, and announced a spatial DX service that analyzes and utilizes data on the well-being state by inferring the emotions of users such as smiles.
This service can be expected to improve satisfaction through spatial evaluation and improvement aimed at revitalizing communication, and create new value through content creation and marketing that visualize emotions.

<Characteristics and future prospects of emograph>
emografis a non-contact system that uses a 360-degree camera to acquire facial expressions without physical burden on the user, and to infer and visualize emotions in real time. Data is acquired in a complex manner, such as understanding gender and age groups, and acquiring facial expressions of multiple people at the same time. It is also possible to capture the entire space from various angles, such as how people move and act based on their emotions, by combining people flow analysis.
By utilizing data in space concept design, operation, and direction, we propose space revitalization that enriches communication while staying close to the emotions of users and encourages positive behavioral changes. Based on the results of the demonstration experiment conducted in February, we will continue to develop further service concept design with the aim of providing them to facilities.
(As part of our R&D activities, this service will be tested at NOMURA RESET SPACE_2 from February 6 to February 17, 2023. The test results will be released in April.)

In order to continue to provide Delight and Passion through space, NOMURA researches spatial solutions using technology through open innovation and returns them to society. We will continue to aim to create comfortable spaces for everyone through technology and creativity.
