Tetsuo Nishizaki, a powerlifter affiliated with NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Co., Ltd. (Men's 49kg class, Rio 2016 Paralympic Games participant),
I will be competing in the "23rd All Japan Para Powerlifting International Invitational Championships" to be held on Sunday, January 29, 2023.

The main highlights of this tournament
This tournament has the longest history in the Japan Para Powerlifting Federation and is the most prestigious tournament held in Japan.
For the first time in 3 tournaments, overseas players are invited and spectators are invited, and it is the No. 1 deciding match between top level players.
This time, it will be the world's first trial in the para powerlifting world, and the competition will be held at a temple.
・Utilization of Shingo Katori's NFT art charity project donations.
・It will be reflected in the world rankings for 2023 (January to December 2023) as it is an IPC official tournament.
(This is not a ranking event for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.)

Only one year left until 2024. After the Dubai World Cup, we have been proceeding with form changes.
This competition will test a new form, and rankings for Paris 2024 in future international competitions * I want to make a start to raise

The venue, Tsukiji Honganji Second Missionary Hall, is reportedly hosting a sporting event for the first time.
I'm looking forward to the atmosphere at the venue, with the collaboration between historic temples and parasports competitions, and the return of spectators to the games for the first time in three tournaments.
On the day of the match, I hope to draw strength from the support of everyone participating both in person and online.
