NOMURA, Ltd.'s social good activities: Participating in a regional revitalization project that utilizes the Metaverse "Kameoka City Digital Museum Construction Project"

NOMURA Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO Shuji Enomoto, hereinafter NOMURA) has developed advanced technologies such as local 5G, XR, and metaverse, and space production and content that make full use of the developed technology. We will participate in the project "Kameoka City Digital Cultural Museum Construction Business" in Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture, commissioned by stu Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Takayasu Kuroda, hereinafter stu), an emerging creative company that handles everything from production to production.

 

This project, jointly promoted by stu and NOMURA Kogeisha, is a project that exploded in the Taisho period, centering on “life and history inside and outside Kameyama castle town,” “connection between Hozugawa and the ancient capital of Kyoto,” and “Kokubunji and Buddhist culture.”・We are planning to design a space where you can experience a time slip, such as restoring Kameyama Castle, which was destroyed, in the Metaverse space. In addition, we will create facilities such as a digital cultural museum in the space and build a mechanism to convey the charm. Aiming to be released in the spring of 23, we are proceeding with production activities. NOMURA, Ltd. will bring together the knowledge and know-how that it has cultivated through its past achievements in museums, archives, art galleries, etc., and contribute mainly to Metaverse space concept design.
