H2L and NOMURA Co., Ltd. embark on metaverse office development to solve dual work issues

H2LInc. (hereinafter referred to asH2L) and NOMURA Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to NOMURA) have begun developing a metaverse office that uses BodySharing (R) technology* to reflect a worker's mental state ("tension"), physical state ("remaining stamina"), and "strength" (an indication of skills) in their avatar, supporting dual work both remotely and in the office.

 

H2L developed the BodySharing(R) technology, and NOMURA 's innovation laboratory "NOMLAB" plans, develops, and proposes the ideal spatial configuration for dual workspaces in metaverse offices and real offices. Through both technology and concept design, we aim to promote appropriate communication between remote and office workers, improve productivity, reduce worker stress, and increase job satisfaction.
Technical details and sales information will be released sequentially from summer 2022.

 

 

*BodySharing(R) technology: A technology that shares various bodily sensations and experiences with characters, robots, and human bodies. The bodily sensations mentioned here include not only sight and hearing, but also proprioception such as position, weight, and resistance.
