Announcement of “YOKOHAMA URBAN SPORTS FESTIVAL 2022”, the largest urban sports festival in Japan with “free admission”

NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Co., Ltd. is participating as a planner and producer in the "YOKOHAMA URBAN SPORTS FESTIVAL 2022" (organized by the YOKOHAMA URBAN SPORTS FESTIVAL 2022 Executive Committee), which will be held on Saturday, June 4th and Sunday, June 5th, 2022.

A new urban sports entertainment event, blending the appeal of professional sports as a competition with the street culture that underlies them, will be born in June 2022 at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse. Over two days, world-class players from six different sports—including skateboarding and BMX, which gained popularity in the summer of 2021 thanks to the success of Japanese athletes, as well as the recently popular breaking and parkour—will gather together. In addition to exhibitions for each sport, domestic competitions for each discipline will also be held. Furthermore, the event will offer a variety of sports and street culture activities to enjoy, including content for children, a marketplace, workshops, and live music.
