On March 16, 2022, NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Ltd., in collaboration with FSC Japan, held an event titled "Hamamatsu City x NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Co., Ltd.: What is FSC® Project-Certified Public Facility Development that Contributes to Achieving SDGs? – Insights from the Renovation Cases of the Nation's First* Certified Facilities, 'Hamamatsu Children's Museum' and 'Hamamatsu Castle'."
To the representatives of the Forestry Promotion Division of the Hamamatsu City Industrial Department and the Next Generation Development Division of the Children and Family Department, our company's Haruka Tashiro, Project Manager of the "Hamamatsu Castle" and "Hamamatsu Children's Center" FSC® certification project, and Atsushi Suzuki, Project concept design Director of the same project, took the stage to discuss the FSC project certification case study utilizing FSC-certified Tenryu timber, a collaboration between Hamamatsu City and NOMURA Co.,Ltd..
A total of 185 people participated, including FM certification holders nationwide, COC certification holders related to FSC-certified timber, and local governments interested in FSC certification.
