Kenichi Sakazume, our company's planner and general producer of the Kanda Myojin Cultural Exchange Center "EDOCCO," which is approaching its first anniversary, and Ryo Onishi, our company's spatial designer and concept design director, will be speaking at the 43rd Fairwood Research Group Meeting (organized by the Global Environment Forum, FoE Japan, and Weiss Weiss Co., Ltd.) together with Mr. Takashima, a Shinto priest of Kanda Myojin Shrine. Talk theme: Kanda Myojin Cultural Exchange Center "EDOCCO" efforts - A base for cultural exchange that makes use of the charm of Tama wood
Enshrined in Edo-Tokyo, Kanda Myojin has been revered as the guardian deity of the Kanda, Nihonbashi, Akihabara, Otemachi, and Marunouchi districts and has protected the region. "EDOCCO" was opened. Based on the concept of "Tradition x Innovation," this facility was completed as a base for the exchange and transmission of culture, spirit, and values. It also contributes to the revitalization of the forestry and lumber industries, as well as the protection and growth of forests.
As the shrine marks its first anniversary since completion, we will be speaking with Mr. Takashima, a Shinto priest at Kanda Myojin Shrine, and Mr. Sakazume and Mr. Onishi of NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Group, who were in charge of production, about the shrine's approach to a new era and the efforts to "preserve while changing" in the utilization of forests and timber, which are currently undergoing a period of transformation.
