Tetsuo Nishizaki, an athlete belonging to NOMURA Co., Ltd. (who participated in the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games) participated in the Tokyo 2020 test event "READY STEADY TOKYO - Powerlifting" held on September 26, 2019 in the men's 49kg class. bottom.

This time, the class was changed from the 54kg class and participated in the 49kg class. In this important match to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, he recorded 130kg and won a bronze medal in 3rd place (1st Japanese).

Thank you for your support. In order to increase my chances of participating in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, I changed the class this time and participated in the 49kg class for the first time.

I was one step short of my goal of succeeding in the three trials, but in the first trial of 126 kg and the second trial of 130 kg, the white flags of the three referees were raised, and I was able to realize the accuracy of the trials after the class change. Next, I will challenge the Japanese record in the 49kg class at the domestic competition next February, and at the world competition, I will raise my rankings for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, and I would like to share Delight and Passion with everyone who supports me.

Test events for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games will begin in earnest in July.

Currently, in various competitions, we are verifying the equipment and venues used in the actual event, the smooth operation of the competition, the operation of the volunteer staff, etc., and we are making full-fledged preparations for the success of the competition.
