Great East Japan Earthquake Reconstruction Support Collaboration between Tohoku and Tokyo "Box of Light"
Since 2013, NOMURA, Ltd. has been implementing the "Tohoku and Tokyo Collaboration Hikari no Box" project.
This year, after the Great East Japan Earthquake, we called on the people of Ishinomaki, local businesses and residents in the Odaiba area, and NOMURA Group employees who have deepened their ties through the NOMURA Group's support activity "Minna Tsunagarou Project!" We held a workshop.
More than 500 colorful and unique “boxes of light” that cannot be found anywhere else will be gathered and displays in Ishinomaki and Odaiba.
We hope that the "box of light" will color Odaiba, connect Tohoku and Tokyo, and become a "light of hope."
*"Light Box" is a kit devised by Mr. Taizo Matsumura, a sculptor from Aomori Prefecture, and it is a box that changes various patterns when held up to light.
