[2016 concept design Award] Received the Director-General of the Forestry Agency Award (Excellence Award) at the Wood concept design Awards 2016.

We are pleased to announce that Nihonbashi Toyama-kan "Woodwork that Expresses the Uniqueness of Toyama" (Client: Toyama Prefecture), for which our company was in charge of creating the space, has received the Director-General of the concept design concept design Award (Excellence Award) in the Heartful concept design category at the 2nd Wood Design Awards 2016 (organized by the Wood Design Award Management Office, supported by the Forestry Agency).

 

The Wood concept design Award recognizes products and initiatives with outstanding concept design, encompassing all things and activities related to "wood," from three perspectives: enriching daily life, promoting human health, and enriching society.

This year, which is the second time, among 451 entries, 1 Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award (Best Award), 9 Forestry Agency Commissioner's Award (Excellence Award), and 15 Jury Chairman's Award (Encouragement Award) were selected. it was done.

 

This award was given because of the following points.

- As an antenna shop for Toyama Prefecture, concept design incorporates timber selected and procured locally at various stages of the production process, showcasing the potential of timber utilization through variations in materials and processing.

・It creates a strong sense of responsibility and attachment to contribute to the region through the process of creating value from Toyama's trees as a limited space that conveys the appeal of the region and utilizes local materials.
