[2016 concept design Awards] Winner of Bronze Award at Asia's most influential "concept design for Asia Awards 2016"

The "TOMOKO KODERA CONCEPT SHOP" (client: Kashiwakei Co., Ltd.), for which Tomonori Fukano of NOMURA was in charge of spatial design, has won the Bronze Award at the "concept design for Asia Awards 2016" (sponsored by the Hong Kong concept design Centre), which recognizes the most influential and outstanding concept design in Asia.
This is the second time that "TOMOKO KODERA CONCEPT SHOP" has won a concept design award this year, following the "JCD concept design Award" announced in July of this year.

Of the approximately 1,000 entries submitted every year, 176 works were selected this year. In addition to three special awards, the awards consist of 10 Grand Prizes selected from 18 concept design fields, as well as category awards such as Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Merit Awards. The awards ceremony is scheduled to be held in Hong Kong on November 30th.

Our company has won the Asia concept design Awards for five consecutive years since 2012, and our creative capabilities have been highly praised not only in Japan but also throughout Asia.

■About concept design for Asia Awards The concept design for Asia Awards 2016, organized by the Hong Kong concept design Centre (HKDC), is a concept design event that is highly acclaimed by designers and companies not only in Asia but also around the world. It was launched in 2003 with the aim of raising the value of "excellent concept design" as a key element in leading business to success and forming a sustainable society. The awards are assessed on the basis of "cultural interest," "sustainability," "tradition and technology," and "impact on Asian society," and evaluate concept design that embody Asian aesthetics and have the potential to have a global impact and become a new trend in concept design.
