The Brussels Flower Carpet, which is held once every two years, was held from August 12th to 15th at the World Heritage Grand Place in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, on the theme of Japan in conjunction with the 150th anniversary of friendship between Japan and Belgium.

The theme of this flower carpet is "Kacho Fugetsu". Designer Fujie Suzuki of NOMURA Kogeisha (executive working drawings: Marc Schautteet), who was in charge of the first Japanese concept design, also attended the local event. According to the City of Brussels, nearly 100,000 people visited the Grand Place to see the flower carpet during the four-day period, making it a splendid event befitting the 150th anniversary of friendship.
