"JAL International Sakura Lounge at Haneda Airport" and "Kamulier" won the Good concept design Award 2014

Two projects designed by NOMURA, "JAL International Flight Sakura Lounge at Haneda Airport" and "Kamulier", have won the 2014 Good concept design Award sponsored by the Japan Institute concept design Promotion.
The "JAL International Sakura Lounge at Haneda Airport" is a lounge where high-status members spend time before departure, and was renovated this spring. It embodies the JAL Group's concept of "tradition, innovation, and the Japanese spirit." The award was given for the following reasons: "The two-story main building is well-separated, with the bustling dining area on the lower floor and the quiet, relaxing space on the upper floor. The Japanese elements arranged in the lounge are of high quality, and as an international lounge, it skillfully expresses nationality through a variety of expressions, from traditional to contemporary artists." Our company AND was in charge of concept design for this project.
In addition, “Kamulier” is a café-type showroom with the theme of supporting “eating from the mouth” and oral care. Focusing on holding cooking classes and seminars for people with impaired chewing and swallowing functions, we manufacture and sell sweets that are easy to swallow, and sell select products such as tableware and nursing care foods. The reason for the award was that "not only does it care for the subject as a 'patient', but it also proposes care that makes it easier for them to live with their healthy family members." Kamulier, which connects the food and dental industries, is an initiative that combines corporate CSV with food education as a new business model for a super-aging society. By combining both aspects, we aim to create a new recycling-oriented society in which companies can sustainably contribute to and support society.
