NOMURA LIGHTING OBJET2014: Collaboration of Tohoku and Tokyo! LIGHTING OBJET2014: Box of Light" will be held from December 15 to February 14 next year at displays in the main plaza on the first floor of the head office.

The “Box of Light” is a kit devised by Mr. Taizo Matsumura, a sculptor from Aomori Prefecture. Our displays space will be a satellite venue for LIGHTING OBJET2014, which will be held at Tokyo Building TOKIA from December 11th.

The “Box of Light” will be produced by people from Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, Minamisanriku Town, Omori and Ishinomaki Marche, Odaiba, who have deepened ties through the “Minna Tsunagarou Project!” support activities of the NOMURA Group since the Great East Japan Earthquake. A workshop was held with local companies, schools, and members of the NOMURA Group. More than 400 colorful and unique “light boxes” will be collected one by one, placed in our container-standard construction method “Machihako”, and displays.

Therefore, the lighting ceremony will be held from 17:00 on the 15th (Monday).

When you come to Odaiba, please stop by NOMURA and see the light illumination.

We hope that the "box of light" will color Odaiba, connect Tohoku and Tokyo, and become a "light of hope."
