Support for the Action Declaration of the Cabinet Office “Association of Male Leaders Who Will Accelerate the Active Participation of Women Who Shine”

We are pleased to announce that on February 3, 2016, NOMURA Co., Ltd. Representative Director Shuji Enomoto has endorsed the Declaration of Action of the "Association of Male Leaders to Accelerate the Successful Lives of Shining Women," which is supported by the Cabinet Office.

 

Triggered by the “Shining Women Support Conference” held at the Prime Minister's Office on March 28, 2014, a movement by leaders from all walks of life to support women who shine and women who want to shine is spreading. Against this backdrop, on June 27, 2017, the Prime Minister's office announced a declaration of action for the ``Association of Male Leaders Who Will Accelerate the Active Participation of Women to Shine.'' rice field. Currently, more than 60 top executives of organizations have endorsed the Action Declaration.

【Reason for award】

It is a socially useful initiative in which female employees who are raising children form cross-departmental teams to propose spaces and ideal childcare facilities where it is easy to go out with children. In addition, by making use of her childcare experience in her main business, she has succeeded in meeting the detailed needs of the childrearing environment in society. The company maintains a high return rate after childcare leave. It was highly evaluated as appropriate for the theme of promoting the active participation of women.
