NOMURA Co.,Ltd., Ltd. participates in interior decoration using upcycled aluminum from the Tokaido Shinkansen 700 series train cars.

NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Co., Ltd. participated in a project by Tokyo Station Development Co., Ltd. (JR Central Group) to upcycle aluminum from the Tokaido Shinkansen 700 series train cars (hereinafter referred to as the 700 series Shinkansen) into building materials for use as interiors materials in the Yaesu North Exit concourse and the specialty store area "Tokyo Gift Palette" at Tokyo Station.*1 This is the first time since the start of Shinkansen operations in 1964 that recycled aluminum, which does not contain any additives while maintaining the high quality of the 700 series Shinkansen, has been used for the decoration of commercial spaces, and it has received a development award from the Japan Aluminum Association. NOMURA Co.,Ltd., Ltd. was involved from the development stage of building materialization and was in charge of production, construction production, and project management for interiors work in the environmental area.

Moving forward, NOMURA Co.,Ltd. will continue to strive to improve its technology and quality to solve social issues, and will challenge itself to create spaces that contribute to enhancing our customers' corporate value and a sustainable society.
