Multi-stakeholder policy

In our corporate management, we consider the interests of stakeholders, including shareholders, and aim to cooperate appropriately with them. Based on the importance of co-creating value with a variety of stakeholders, including customers, employees, business partners, local communities, shareholders and investors, we will work on appropriate collaboration with multiple stakeholders. Based on this, from the perspective that appropriately distributing the profits and results generated through value collaboration and productivity improvement to multiple stakeholders will lead to maintaining the momentum of wage increases and sustainable economic development. Based on the importance of giving back to employees and being considerate to business partners, we will proceed with the following initiatives.

1. Giving back to employees
We will strive to maximize added value by working on sustainable growth and improving productivity through focused allocation of management resources to growth areas and by developing employees' capabilities and improving their skills. Based on this, we will raise wages in an appropriate manner that takes into account our company's circumstances and is based on the profits and results we have generated. In addition, as a comprehensive improvement to employee treatment, we will actively work on education and training, etc., to contribute to improving employee engagement and further improving productivity, aiming to provide sustainable returns to employees.

Specifically, with regard to raising wages, we will continue to work on improving employee treatment, including increasing base pay, taking into account domestic trends in wage levels and our company's performance.
In addition, with regard to education and training, we will establish the "Nomura Development Program," a platform that can be utilized for human resource development and career formation, and provide an educational opportunity according to each employee's role and rank. We will also work to provide a variety of learning opportunities suited to diverse work styles and work locations through the use of e-learning, etc.

2. Consideration for business partners
We will continue to work to comply with the contents of the Partnership Building Declaration.
If the Partnership Building Declaration is removed from the portal site, we will voluntarily withdraw the publication of our Multi-Stakeholder Policy.

In addition, with regard to business relationships with consumption tax-exempt businesses, we will work to build appropriate relationships by referring to the government's published guidelines on how tax-exempt businesses and their business partners should respond to the invoice system.
