Umekita Green Place

Located at the gateway to the "Umekita Phase 2 area," Umekita Green Place is a multi-purpose commercial complex themed around "greenery" and "a place for encounters and exchanges."
We proposed creating a facility that features lush green spaces and lively, relaxing areas, allowing visitors to stroll around and enjoy themselves. It includes 20 shops, mainly restaurants and cafes, and is designed to meet the needs of people who pass through the area around JR Osaka Station for various purposes, from office workers to those visiting the park or shopping.
Our company was responsible for the planning, design, and construction of the food court on the second floor and the restrooms on the second and third floors, as well as the overall furniture and fixture manufacturing of the facility.

The food court needed to secure as many seats as possible while increasing turnover and traffic flow, and maintaining the visibility of each tenant, so the layout plan that took these into consideration was a challenge.

Additionally, the restrooms needed to be effectively designed to accommodate a wide range of users within a limited space, and a layout plan was required that would achieve both ease of use and comfort.

Based on the concept of "seamlessness," a color scheme was adopted that emphasizes connection with the park, creating a sense of unity with the surrounding environment. In addition, a zoning plan was implemented that takes into account visibility from the deck connecting JR Osaka Station and the Umeda Kita area, ensuring natural flow and easy circulation.
Regarding the seating area, a large, visually striking table is placed in the center, maximizing space efficiency while also enhancing concept design and maximizing the number of seats available.
For the restrooms, we adopted the same color scheme as the food court, aiming for a bright, comfortable, and user-friendly space. Within the limited area, we efficiently arranged various functions such as multipurpose restrooms and nursing rooms to create a design that can accommodate a wide range of users.
