[Outline of the project]

Spatial installation of the Italian luxury watch brand "PANERAI".
First, we concept design a watch like a transparent “empty shell” that condensed Panerai’s characteristics such as indexes with unicursal numerals and a square-shaped case, and then stretched it to a length of 16m by extrusion molding.
The clock is made by hand while slicing this long and thin "shell clock" little by little, and visitors can take the finished product home.
Since the "age" of visitors is converted to "mm" and cut out, clocks of various proportions are naturally created.

A circular atelier space is prepared for each work process, such as polishing, sandblasting, and assembly. increase.
The clock is produced one by one every five minutes, and the elongated "Clock of Empty Shells" gradually shortens during the displays period, and the installation ends at the moment when everything disappears.
In other words, this "shell clock" is also a device for perceiving time like an hourglass.
By converting "time" to "length" like a "watch scale seller", it is possible to experience time and even "bring back your own time". I thought.

Our concept design team “onndo (*)” was in charge of this property.
