overview

Padel Tokyo Mizumachi, a dedicated facility for padel, a racket sport that originated in Spain, opened in January 2023 in the east zone of Tokyo MizumachiⓇ, a 1-minute walk from Tokyo Skytree Station. Padel is a racket sport that is rapidly gaining popularity around the world, especially in Europe and South America, and this will be the third padel court in Tokyo and the first in the East Tokyo area.
Like the tenants in the Tokyo MizumachiⓇ facility, it was opened as a community spot in the city where visitors and residents can enjoy sports. (Co-planned by Choice)

Issues/requests

In preparation for its inclusion as an official event at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, a location was being sought to help spread padel in Tokyo.

solution

By matching the ideas of Tobu Railway, which conducts urban development based on Tokyo Skytree, and the Japan Padel Association through the location, it has become a place that can be enjoyed as a new community spot in the city.
