[Outline of the project]
The Takashimaya Osaka store is a modern building with high historical value, decorated with Corinthian-style pilasters and arches, located at the end of Midosuji. "Namba Dining Maison" is a three-story dining zone from the 7th floor to the 9th floor, which spans the expanded area and the existing building. .
Therefore, by interspersing "memories of modern architecture" in the interior space, we aimed to create a space that evokes the feeling that visitors are in a building of high historical value.
The original pattern based on the details of the architectural exterior built in the early Showa period was concept design in a modern way, and the 3rd floor atrium and in front of the store façade are connected in a continuous manner reminiscent of a western patio. By developing the details of the architectural exterior in some parts, we created a sense of unity among the three floors, which have different scenes.
