[Outline of the project]
The Takashimaya Osaka store is a modern building with high historical value, decorated with Corinthian-style pilasters and arches, located at the end of Midosuji. "Namba Dining Maison" is a three-story dining zone from the 7th floor to the 9th floor, which spans the expanded area and the existing building. .
Therefore, by interspersing "memories of modern architecture" in the interior space, we aimed to create a space that evokes the feeling that visitors are in a building of high historical value.
Based on the details of the exterior of a building constructed in the early Showa period, we concept design an original pattern in a modern way, and continuously applied it to the three-story atrium and in front of the store facade to evoke a Western-style patio. Furthermore, by extending the architectural exterior details to various parts of the environment, we created a sense of unity across the three floors, each with its own distinct scene.
