overview
We were responsible for the design, layout production, and construction of Mazda's manufacturer showroom in the Tokyo metropolitan area, which was designed to allow customers to experience and interact with the brand.
The "TRANS" in "MAZDA TRANS AOYAMA" means "to change, to go beyond," and it embodies the meaning of "we want this to be a place that becomes a catalyst for positive change."
The first floor is a special space where you can experience the brand, featuring a cafe and goods shop supervised by Itsuki Coffee, which was founded in Miyajima, Hiroshima. The second floor is a comfortable space where art displays, events, and workshops can be held.
Issues/requests
We were asked to increase awareness of Mazda in the greater Tokyo area and to create a space that would be easy for people who had never had contact with Mazda before to enter.
solution
From the facade and entrance to the atrium connecting the first and second floors, and the spacious cafe area, we've incorporated Mazda's concept design essence throughout the bright and open space, unlike anything found in nearby facilities.
